Each Father Christmas or
friend
begins with a ball of clay, and an idea,
Using vintage and/or newer fabrics and trims, and recycled fur.
They are transformed by artist/ designer,
Elizabeth Raols' hands into a one-of-a-kind heirloom,
that inspire the "Spirit of Christmas".
Individually hand sculpted heads evolve into
unique personalities of their own.
I offer ethnic Father Christmas as well. All are signed and dated
by the artist.

Some feature sculptured
hands, gnarled by the test of time.
Long full beards, made of sheep's wool,
give them a classic old world charm.
Dressed and sewn in original attire, designed
by the artist. they are constructed over an armature of wood and wire,
with legs that are positioned in a way that they appear to be walking.
Elizabeth has dressed special commission pieces
in fabrics from wedding gowns, Grandma's fur coat
and a vintage opera coat.

such as, "Woodland", "Victorian", "Old English",
"Whimsical", etc.
. Each is accompanied by accessories and toys.
Many carry electric lanterns or a variety of handmade
accessories, for example, skis, fish poles, dolls, jack-in-box etc.
He may be accompanied
